Advanced Calibration and Certification
The Sunmeter Pro Certified stands out as a digital photovoltaic pyranometer that has undergone rigorous calibration by the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), which holds DAKKS accreditation. This calibration ensures unparalleled accuracy in measuring solar irradiance, making it an indispensable tool for calculating photovoltaic plant performance with exceptional precision and reliability.
Cutting-Edge Design and Construction
At the heart of this sophisticated device lies a monocrystalline silicon cell, carefully laminated with high-quality glass typically used in photovoltaic modules, along with ethylene-vinyl acetate (E.V.A.) for enhanced durability. The sensor undergoes additional stabilization processes and tests to minimize measurement drift over time, ensuring long-term accuracy and dependability.
Spectral Response and Measurement Advantages
The Sunmeter Pro Certified boasts a spectral response optimized for photovoltaic applications, covering the crucial wavelength range of 350nm to 1150nm. This targeted range provides more appropriate measurements for calculating Performance Ratio (PR) compared to traditional Class A thermopile pyranometers, which measure a broader spectrum (300nm to 3000nm) that can introduce unnecessary noise and uncertainties.
Comprehensive Quality Assurance
Our commitment to quality extends beyond initial calibration. The cost of the Sunmeter Pro Certified includes a complimentary re-calibration service after one year of use. Furthermore, we offer an immediate replacement guarantee if the tolerance level exceeds 3.5%, ensuring that your measurements remain consistently accurate throughout the sensor’s lifetime.
User-Friendly Implementation
Despite its advanced capabilities, the Sunmeter Pro Certified is designed for ease of use and installation. Its digital output is compatible with most data loggers, and the device comes with mounting brackets for straightforward setup. The robust construction and weather-resistant design make it suitable for long-term outdoor deployment in various environmental conditions.
Accessories
- Temmeter
- USB/RS485 interface cable
- USB/MICRO-USB smartphone adapter
- Sm configuration for Android smartphone and tabletSMCONFIG allows you to configure Sunmeter in the field from your Android smartphone. It is no longer necessary to bring the Sunmeter back to the laboratory for configuration. The software allows you to:
- configure Sunmeter.
- make a diagnosis of the basic functions.
- log irradiance, temperature and wind (Sunmeter Wind only) readings.
The software is available for free on this page in the downloads area. In addition to the software it is necessary to have a USB / RS485 converter, an adapter cable between microUSB/USB and a female connector M12 4 pin for Sunmeter.
In the Download area you can find a wiring diagram of our cable that connects Smartphone/Tablet or PC with the irradiance sensor, it takes and transforms the voltage present on the USB (Price on request). Alternatively, it is possible to use other cables with external power supply (9V battery).
