Advanced Sensor Technology
At the heart of the Litemeter Modbus Pro is a monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic cell, carefully engineered to provide precise solar irradiance measurements. The cell is laminated with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and protected by high-performance, anti-reflective glass for PV applications, mirroring the construction of professional photovoltaic modules.
Superior Digital Output
The Litemeter Modbus Pro features an RS485 bus interface, utilizing the industry-standard Modbus RTU protocol. This digital output ensures:
- Reliable data transmission over distances up to 500 meters
- Easy integration with existing monitoring systems
- High noise immunity for accurate readings in various environments
Dual Measurement Capability
This advanced sensor not only provides precise irradiance measurements but also offers an indicative temperature reading of nearby photovoltaic modules. This dual functionality makes it an invaluable tool for comprehensive system monitoring.
Enhanced Precision
The LM5-485 PRO sensor boasts a 25% improvement in precision compared to its predecessor, the LM2-485 PRO. This enhancement ensures more accurate performance calculations and system evaluations.
Robust Construction for Outdoor Durability
Engineered for long-term outdoor deployment, the Litemeter Modbus Pro features:
- A durable aluminum body for excellent weather resistance
- High-performance anti-reflective glass for PV applications and E.V.A. encapsulation
- Compliance with IEC EN 61215 par.10,11,12 standards for product aging
Precision Calibration and Quality Assurance
Each Litemeter Modbus Pro is meticulously calibrated against a Class A Silicon Reference Cell, which is periodically certified by the DAKKS accredited ISFH Institute. This calibration process, along with the use of a HP34410A Multimeter, ensures adherence to IEC 60904 standards and guarantees high measurement accuracy.
Accessories
- USB/RS485 interface cable
- USB/MICRO-USB smartphone adapter
- Sm configuration for Android smartphone and tablet SMCONFIG allows you to configure Litemeter in the field from your Android smartphone. It is no longer necessary to bring irradiance sensor back to the laboratory for configuration. The software allows you to:
- configure Litemeter.
- make a diagnosis of the basic functions.
- log irradiance, temperature and wind (Sunmeter Wind only) readings.
The software is available for free on this page in the downloads area. In addition to the software it is necessary to have a USB / RS485 converter, an adapter cable between microUSB/USB and clamp adapter.
In the Download area you can find a wiring diagram of our cable that connects Smartphone/Tablet or PC with the irradiance sensor, it takes and transforms the voltage present on the USB (Price on request). Alternatively, it is possible to use other cables with external power supply (9V battery).
