Advanced Sensor Integration
At its core, the Sunmeter Pro Wind builds upon the proven technology of the Sunmeter Pro, incorporating a high-quality monocrystalline silicon cell for precise irradiance measurement. What sets this model apart is its seamless integration with additional sensors, allowing for simultaneous monitoring of temperature via a PT100 sensor and wind speed through a pulse output anemometer.
Innovative 3-in-1 Functionality
The Sunmeter Pro Wind’s unique firmware and hardware implementations enable it to function as a true multi-parameter measurement device. By combining irradiance, temperature, and wind speed sensing in a single unit, this sensor significantly reduces on-site wiring complexity while providing comprehensive environmental data crucial for optimizing solar energy systems.
Cutting-Edge Communication Protocol
Utilizing the RS485 Modbus RTU standard, the Sunmeter Pro Wind ensures reliable data transmission over distances up to 500 meters. This industry-standard protocol allows for seamless integration with a wide range of data logging and monitoring systems, making it an ideal choice for both new installations and upgrades to existing solar monitoring setups.
Superior Measurement Technology
The Sunmeter Pro Wind incorporates proprietary TZOS® technology, elevating its measurement capabilities to new heights. This advanced approach to sensing allows for more nuanced and accurate data collection across all three parameters, providing insights that can significantly enhance the efficiency and output of solar installations.
Durability and Long-Term Reliability
Engineered to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the Sunmeter Pro Wind boasts enhanced weather resistance and complies with IEC EN 61215 standards for product aging. With a performance decline of less than 1.5% per year, users can rely on consistent, accurate measurements throughout the sensor’s operational life.
Versatile Output Options
The Sunmeter Pro Wind offers both digital and analog outputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of data logging systems. This flexibility allows for easy integration into existing monitoring infrastructures or seamless incorporation into new, state-of-the-art solar energy projects.
Precision Calibration and Quality Assurance
Each Sunmeter Pro Wind undergoes rigorous calibration processes. The irradiance sensor is calibrated against working references certified by the DAKKS accredited ISFH Institute, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy. Wind speed measurements are fine-tuned based on the specific anemometer constant, guaranteeing precise readings across all parameters.
Accessories
- Anemometer
- Temmeter
- USB/RS485 interface cable
- USB/MICRO-USB smartphone adapter
- Sm configuration for Android smartphone and tabletSMCONFIG allows you to configure Sunmeter in the field from your Android smartphone. It is no longer necessary to bring the Sunmeter back to the laboratory for configuration. The software allows you to:
- configure Sunmeter.
- make a diagnosis of the basic functions.
- log irradiance, temperature and wind (Sunmeter Wind only) readings.
The software is available for free on this page in the downloads area. In addition to the software it is necessary to have a USB / RS485 converter, an adapter cable between microUSB/USB and a female connector M12 4 pin for Sunmeter.
In the Download area you can find a wiring diagram of our cable that connects Smartphone/Tablet or PC with the irradiance sensor, it takes and transforms the voltage present on the USB (Price on request). Alternatively, it is possible to use other cables with external power supply (9V battery).
